Back from school
Giving another look onto the street before going home.
Please let me get ready for the picture
It was a long and hot day. I was sitting in my car waiting for my buddy to come back. This man approached me and we started a conversation. He eventually saw the camera sitting on the back seat , and he asked me if I could take a picture of him. Of course. . . I said; So here is a picture of my friend.
On the way to the market
Carrying on the head is common practice over here. It is so common that it becomes part of everyday life. We don't take time to give it another look. But thinking about it, one will notice that the practice is not as simple as we can imagine. Carrying on the head, walking and carrying other stuffs in your hands, ( mostly chairs and table to use once in the market.) and all this simultaneously. A big applause to all these women all over.
A walk on the beach
An afternoon walking on the beach under the hot African sun. A pause to look at the camera for the picture.
A break, in front of a drink.
An afternoon in front of a drink. This guy is part of every project in his community. He is a school teacher, a community organizer, and everything else in between.
Over here, he was taking a break from all his activities.
Please take another picture of me

Ready for school
The face of happiness
This is one side of happiness.
School time
This is the last year before university. If everything goes well and I pass my exams at the end of the year, guess what? Next year, I won't be wearing these uniforms any longer . . . I will be in University.
The Hair
This is how the hair looks on African women's head, before they decide to go into a war with it , and destroy it completely, by adding all sort of chemicals and crazy products to it. Eventually this beautiful hair fades out , breaks completely and stop growing. It turns into something unrecognizable and ugly.
I pray that this beautiful young girl keeps her hair natural as long as possible, and that the adults around her do not intervene with their power to destroy this beautiful God given hair.
Sunday: 6 AM
Time for physical activities.
After the church
At a local church on a Saturday afternoon. After a wedding.
